The 2013 HRW harvest is now complete in all production areas.  Delivery of the final 30 samples to the lab (now an expected total overall 510 samples) will be by Monday, September 16, 2013.  Next week’s report will be the last harvest report and will include an update of overall averages for samples.  A final report will be will be issued the first week of October.

With 480 of the expected 500 total samples now in the lab overall average grade and non-grade characteristics did not change this week.  Average overall grade is 1HRW, the TKW overall average is 25.8 grams and overall wheat protein remains at 13.0%.

Overall average alveograph P value is 80 (cc) which is similar to the 2012 average of 78 (cc) and the 5-year average of 77 (cc).  Overall average alveograph L value is 97 (cc) which is lower than the 2012 average of 102 (cc), but higher than the 5-year average of 93 (cc).  Overall average W value is 244 (10-4  joules) which is lower than the 2012 average of 254 (10-4  joules), but similar to the 5-year average of 243 (10-4  joules).
